Hi, I’m Mac, the founder of Filter Coffee & Bakehouse.

This journey started with a dream I’ve carried since childhood. Growing up, I spent much of my early years in southern India, immersed in its vibrant coffee and chai culture. The bold aroma of freshly brewed filter coffee, the comforting spice of masala chai—it was more than just a drink; it was a way of bringing people together.

At 21, with the immense support of my family, I turned that dream into reality by opening Filter here in the heart of England. Together, we created an independent café that blends the soul of India’s traditions with a warm, inviting space for our community. From our house blend Kaapi to our authentic masala chai, every cup is a testament to the care and love we pour into everything we do.

Behind every product we serve is over 9-12 months of research and development, refining our recipes to deliver blends that honor the flavors of southern India while resonating with our customers here in England. It’s a journey of passion, dedication, and countless cups of coffee and chai!

With the café thriving and thanks to the continuous encouragement of my family, we’ve taken the next step—wholesale. This allows us to share the unique blends we’ve crafted with more cafés, restaurants, and retailers, spreading the love for authentic coffee and chai even further.
